OVERVIEW
-To help us provide you with the best quality print and fast turnaround, proper artwork must be
achieved, either by you and your art department or by us. To avoid any art charges please follow
these steps the best you can. Need art direction or design? Let us know we can help.

ACCEPTED FORMATS
-We are fluent in Corel Draw for PC and Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for PC and Mac.

VECTOR FORMATS
Corel Draw (.cdr) - Vector based program save to verson 9.
Illustrator (.ai) - Vector based program save to legacy 3 preferred or to CS2. PLEASE HAVE EACH COLOR ON IT'S OWN LAYER!!
PDF (.pdf) -We can use vector PDF's if need be, must be created in a vector based program.

RASTER FORMATS
Corel PhotoPaint (.cpt) - Raster based program save to version 9 PLEASE HAVE EACH COLOR ON IT'S OWN LAYER!!
Photoshop (.psd) - Raster based program save to version CS2 PLEASE HAVE EACH COLOR ON IT'S OWN LAYER!!

FLATTENED FORMATS (when dealing with multiple spot colors, flattened versions such as these
are not the best, but can work, however if you want a HALFTONE or a PROCESS print, these will be acceptable).
.Tif -Raster based file extension no data is compressed when saved. Work in 100% size save at 300dpi.
.Jpeg- Raster based file extension, some data is compressed. Work in 100% size 300dpi.
Ok for photos and black and white art, but not the absolute best format.
.Gif- Raster based file extension, only use for black and white art, no color or greyscale. Work in 100% at 600 dpi.

QUICK TIPS
-CONVERT ALL FONTS TO OUTLINES OR CURVES, OR EMBED FONTS.
-LET US MAKE YOUR HALF TONES, WE TYPICALLY PRINT AT 45 LPI.
-IF YOU ARE PRINTING 4 COLOR PROCESS WORK IN CMYK.
-LET US TRAP YOUR ARTWORK, IF IT NEEDS TRAPPED.
-ILLUSTRATOR AND PHOTOSHOP ARE POPULAR PROGRAMS, HOWEVER PLEASE
HAVE EACH COLOR ON IT'S OWN LAYER.
-SAVE FILES BACK TO OLDER VERSIONS WE SPECIFIED.
